You just took the perfect shot that’s never to be duplicated again. You look on your digital camera and find that it is out of focus. How could that have happened, you were very careful and didn’t move the camera when the shot was taken. It’s frustrating when you have out of focus digital photos, but there are ways to avoid having this happen in future shots.
One thing to remember when taking pictures with an autofocus camera is that you can still get pictures that are out of focus. The first thing to check is to make sure you do not have a smudge on the lens. A smudge can be difficult to remove and care must be taken not to damage the camera lens.
Another cause of out of focus digital photos is that the autofocus lens focused on the wrong subject. This is a common problem as the camera does not know what subject you want to have in focus and takes a best guess. To correct this you will need to see what is in focus and point
your camera towards your subject retaking the photo.
A third cause of an out of focus photo is when the subject moves while the shutter is open or alternatively the camera is moved while the shutter is open. These are two things that are easily corrected and something to be aware of. Out of focus digital photos can be replaced with clear and sharp photos with just a little care.
